The Right People Believed Me
Narrative runs on a poisoned tongue,
Ignorance fuels those words that stung,
Truth and two witnesses, one who lies.
Easier to deny, they accept his disguise
The same black memory shared, his and mine,
I had to become the villain for him to shine.
But the poison that blinds them now is the poison that has freed me,
I stopped keeping his secret, and the right people believe me.
