Beast
She carried her pain, mask of silent repose
Ironed shame on disguise, so that nobody knows
Her smile told a story, the script well-rehearsed
Concealing their secret, her soul became cursed.
Then one day the storm woke a sky full of birds,
The truth, like an avalanche, chaos of words,
As resistance collapsed, she surrendered the monster,
The beast whose lies would no longer cost her.
