Alchemise my Pain
We’ve been here before,
You and I, this prison.
Familiar writing on the wall,
Dark tears, night vision.
Ghosts of past hurt,
Exhumed, stripped bare,
Screams gagged, old soil and dirt
Hope is the dream, reality the nightmare.
Medicate, sedate, deny, berate,
The wounded child, quietly crying
A pain ignored, doesn’t shrink, abate
It Magnifies in silence.
But listen beyond the noise,
The still between the words,
Strength, redundant, patience employs,
Resilience shines, no clouds disturb.
You and I, young and old,
Where innocence was, wisdom became
Inner child, my heart, my gold
Alchemy, light work, transmuted our pain.
We‘ve met on this battlefield,
Childhood monsters mask slips
Freed our breath from the umbilicus of shame.
Land of chaos, where peace now sits
