Child Potential
Child Potential
An orchestral of sounds played in silence,
A Rainbow filled sky, dull greys and no vibrance
The sweet smile of that child, pain hidden in plain sight,
Eyes shine like fireworks splitting the black night
Tears show the rain of storms nobody saw.
Shadows of my pain, cast long, across a floor.
Where a wall built around me, my cold silent witness,
Holds all the ghosts and monsters, feeding off my sickness
Gentle hands weave threads of gold,
Mending the cracks where dreams grew cold,
My heartbeat once dull, without music or verse
Now sings my pain free, like the cure from a curse
I found my spotlight, my audience, my stage.
All the words of my story, soar from the page,
Alchemize my sorrow, pronounce away the pain,
Now I see my rainbow, whether sunshine, shower or rain.
